Mathematical Design Formulas

Rule of Square (Cooling time $t$): $$t \propto s^2$$ Cooling time increases quadratically with wall thickness $s$. Doubling wall quadruples cooling time.
Rib Thickness Ratio Rule: $$T_{rib} \approx (0.5 \sim 0.7) \times T_{nominal}$$ Prevents mass concentrations at the rib intersection to avoid cosmetic sink marks.
